Aku hanyalah salah seorang pencari rezeki dari Pemberi Rezeki, Allah s.w.t

Maka bermulalah pencarianku semenjak aku mengenali hakikat ini.

Fasa pra-intensif

Final sem or better final year or the best time is “industrial training” year….Result masih belum “materialise”.

Key stuff adalah;

  • strong academic track record
    • maintain at an excellence level (define by yourself)
  • awesome industrial training
    • Do you have one? Where is it? What do you gain?

Methodology;

  • Career fair
    • Such as Graduan Career Fair
      • Go and try your skills although your result may not be strong enough. Mind you! oversea students! if it is done on the place you study, the interview may be just walk-in interview..just that and then you will secure a place at the company…BUT….if you wait till you are back in Malaysia then you will going through a series of a thorough interviews
    • Online
      • jobstreet, graduan.com.my, seek.com, monster.com, jobsdb.com, and many more………….
    • Through your appropriate network (friends, family, seniors, alumni)

Fasa intensif

Result dah “materialise”. Academic transcript at your hand.

Key stuff adalah;

  1. Your performance during interview
    1. The most important thing. You flop here! then you know where you are heading to. Be Confidence. How? refer to the title of this article. REMEMBER! in interview, it is not only the company which are looking for the best talent BUT you too are looking for the BEST company to work for, depends on your own criteria.
  2. Your result
    • in CGPA (convert it on your own using reliable methodology based on IPTA/IPTS system in Malaysia)
  3. Awesome industrial training
    • Do you have one? Where is it? What do you gain?

Methodology;

  • Career fair
    1. Such as Graduan Career Fair and many more
      • Why? ada walk-in interview sessions, so you can try one and cut short your road map to your dream job instead of do the search on your own through internet
      • Go to the career fair as you go for an interview. Be prepared.
    2. Online
      • jobstreet, graduan.com.my, seek.com, monster.com, jobsdb.com, and many more………….put your result
      • Chances, the more you applied for, the better chances you are going to have depends on;
        • Current economic performance
        • Your specialized field
        • Experience (here is the place where industrial training may come into the picture)
        • 100 applications, 50 may be considered and then you can expect less than that will respond to you
    3. Through your appropriate network (friends, family, seniors, alumni)
      1. Bukan pilih kasih bai! kroni pun bukan! COZ there are companies which are searching for new talents through their workers’ colleagues, families, friends and so on so forth. Thus, it is absolutely a no no….. in newspaper, online or whatsoever that pop up in your head at the moment

Adalah satu mamat ni punyer cerita..

Balik time2 cenggini. Forget that  Big recruitment in Malaysia usually take place in Jan and June every year. Tapi planning tetap ada. ASAP mesti mau kerja. So minggu pertama, apply semua kerja di semua peluang yg ada di internet. minggu kedua attend interview yg dapat dari minggu pertama and at the same time, hantar je resume ke semua company yang ada di Malaysia. Then buat tuition. Measure it using your own specific standard. You know yourself and your condition better than anyone else but then it won’t stop you to ask for others advice. Alhamdulillah dapat kerja juga. Masa nak pilih kerja juga dilema. Lepas tu offer lain juga datang bergolek2 lepas dapat kerja. pergi interview lain juga jadi kurang bersungguh sebab dah secure job then blum start lagi. So in the end, using tracking decision method system, decide to stay and disregard others.

Do it gorgeously or leave it in style

9 10 2009

One of the hardest tarbiyyah@lesson that i acquired from my years in abroad is establish yourself and we may consider your talk. Don’t get me wrong, consult the respected personnel if you find yourself end up with a negative meaning.

  • They are simple subliminal messages as followed
    • If you can play soccer, then you can bridge and tackle those who share the same passion. Same applied to other fields. But…
    • No matter what it takes, the reference point is your study performance because you are a student. If the reference point is at an acceptable level then the previous point will apply. If not, there is still a way but mind you, if you don’t take your reference point seriously enough, your understanding on Tarbiyyah may have some flaws

Then finding yourself as a young(not so young la) and fresh grad with different technical background, coming to an established company anchored by established experts may lead you to first established yourself or in the simplest manner your reputation as an employee. Why?

It is widespreadly accepted  that you may take care of your appearance, attitude, knowledge, communication skills, self check list and so on so forth. However, people sometimes overlook the reference point. Yeah! we fall down because of tripped onto small stones and not because of large mountain. What is the reference point? It is yours to define. The essence is this is the minimum level that you can be if you like your invitation to be heard effectively. What happens if it is vice versa?

  • First it may be detrimental to you in a number of ways depends on your personality
    • you may lose confidence because people keep claiming;
      • “sendiri pun kantoi, mau ajak orang lain”
      • “sembang boleh la woi! tak nampak pun kesannya pada diri ko”
    • it may effect your future comitment
  • some Bad effects on your risalah but not Total Bad Effects as it may affect some focal group but not all of your target

    • the obvious one is when some people claim that what is the point for me to be a muslim if it is meant being low status in the society, unsuccessful, lazy, low spirit, pampered, 3rd class thinking style and many more negative attributes

But wait a second!

Refer back to your objectives. Your aims. Your ambitions. Thus prioritizing everything

You may think that things may get worse day in day out. You need to meet the expectation until you don’t have time for anything else aside from your career. Then if you stop and ponder for a while. You will see The Almighty God’s signs everywhere around you.

For example, there are medical students who being trained in years of unforgettable houseman-ship. There a security who works 3 days in a row on top of its normal schedule for a sum of MYR1200 per month. There is a guy who being trained to survive on its own up to two weeks in a place in Australia at the age of 11 years old by his grandfather. There a taxi driver who work like hell for a few notes a day. Yes! there are also many examples on the other extreme but no pain no gain. Every success has its own respective price. Thus! keep moving. Once a Muslim, always a warrior. Do it gorgeously or leave it in style

They said a thousand jobs start with the first job

7 10 2009

The title sounds good….depends on your perspective and your aims

But for someone who might end up like following situation then this will be a soothing phrase.

Coming back from oversea with a degree after years long sponsorship from $$$$, leads to higher expectation both internally and externally.

-What others expect from you is what do you expect from yourself-In the simplest manner, you determine your life.

It begins with you.

So knowing yourself is essential. Then knowing your surrounding.
1. knowing yourself is essential

  • Your strength and your weaknesses
    • What is your utmost strength?
    • What can be your weaknesses?
    • can you withstand pressure?
    • What is your tension limit?
    • Your short term and long term targets?
    • and Etc

2. Then knowing your surrounding

  • How do you deal with others’ expectations?
  • Can you compromise your ambitions and others’ expectations
  • Your family background?
  • To whom you turn to for any problems?
  • How do you see others in your life in 10 years time?
  • and add few more according to your situation

Then what’s next?

Now you can plan your strategy and execute it with a peace of mind as whatever turnout in future, you are prepared to face it according to your QA methodology as being laid out above.

For some people, the priority is to get a license. No license, No work. No work, it is up to your “boiling point” but some people may end up in stressful condition. Make sure you take precautions!

For some other people, the priority is to get a job as quickly as possible. No job, No money. No money, No talk

For some other people, the priority is no matter how! to secure a dream job . Without a dream job, No passion, No satisfaction, No life. Then it will be like hell

For some other people, the priority is to get money. Hey dudes! i can do anything with money. Going for interview pun need $$$$$$ maaa

For some other people, the priority may be different. What is yours? The priority may vary from an individual to another individual but remember with your heart to measure its effect on your life

Then after you make up your mind, after you prepare for the outcomes or you may think that you prepare for it. The test will come. In varied forms. After you secured a job which fits your requirements, then more offers come. Good offers in term of $$$$. Good offers in term of position. Only in few days after you already make up your mind. Things get more complicated as your friends involve in trying to help you securing your job but you may need to decline the offer. …the clock is ticking. Accept! Decline! Arghhhhhh…..Wait ! Wait a second. You always have Your Lord to turn to for anything.

and Not to forget, you have  gone through “a thinking process” in order to be a your current state. So why need to be stressed up? Accept or Decline is your choice but make sure you don’t do it on “chips more way- sekijap ada sikejap takde”

Sesungguhnya Engkau hadir pada setiap masa

16 08 2009

Biarpun pahit mendengarkan, kemanisannya jauh terasa. Biarpun pedih menelan, kegembiraannya memenuhi segenap ruang.

How to gain more islamic knowledge?

13 05 2009

Err..i’m sorry if you misunderstand the question.

i just would like to share an interesting point which intrigues myself for a quite some time and it has been asked in a Q&A session in a place in America. So just make sure that you also consider place and cultural factor in extracting the essence of this explanation.

Kalau takde cam ner cerita?

Insyallah manfaatkanlah yang ada disekeliling kita. Sometimes, yearning for something too much may blind our eyes from seeing opportunities just next to us. Mudah cerita! kalau nak belajar alif, ba, ta pun nak jumpa Syeikh Qaradawi, susah gak la.

Life is a test. Ada manfaat dan ada mudharatnya. Terpulang kepada kita macam mana nak uruskannya. Perfect things that you have, and Insyallah Allah will lead you to the knowledge of this deen.

Tanya sama hati?

5 05 2009

Tanya sama hati?
Apa telah kukuhkah iman dalam diri?

Tanya sama hati?
Apa benar syurga itu yang dicari?
Sedang sehari-hari seakan neraka yang didekati?

Tanya sama hati?
Mana yang lebih manis?
Kemanisan iman atau maksiat?

Tanya sama hati?
Dari mana datangnya persoalan-persoalan ini?

Tanya sama hati?
Kenapa masih sukar untuk memahami bahawa semuanya milik ilahiabo-trika
