Measuring the intangibles! if you cannot measure, you cannot manage!

Suatu ketika murabbiku pernah berkongsi bagaimana dia menolak peluang perkerjaan dengan syarikat “middle east” kerana kepentingan dakwah yang memerlukan dia berada di Malaysia.

syarikat “middle east”@bayaran tinggi@can achieve financial freedom

why him?

• he has engineering background, can speak english and arabic

why he does not take the chance? IMHO

• dakwah wise: tuntutan fasa tersebut
• his position: qudwah wise on that period
• his comitment to dakwah (it might backfire for those who are not so comitted..)

what do i learn? (from emotional perspective only)

• university years: power22…..(but how power is that? in number please)
• now:
• i can relate more on how insurmountable it is… but with mujahadah and tarbiyah (read: clear objectives, musyawarah and Allah’s guidance) it can be done
• but then how do you feel it? how can you measure it? [remember! if you cannot measure, you cannot manage!]
• Experience: i need to turn down an offer that i wish for……. due to certain circumtances which is far less important that the reason my murabbi turn down his offer….

Now! i can measure it..i can measure the emotion! the feeling! though is it just an estimation but if i can measure then it means i can manage…
